Meraki Trio is an ensemble formed in 2018 and based in The Netherlands. All of the three members are initially from Spain and all of them just obtained their master diploma in different conservatories of the country (Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Utrecht Conservatory).
Three different personalities come together when it is about playing and thinking about music. Discovering the essence and the meaning of the music, expressing and communicating their feelings to the audience, engaging them in a musical trip full of colors, sounds and images makes this chamber music trio unique.
The name of the group is borrowed from the Greek culture (μεράκι) which derives from the Turkish “Merak” (Labor of love, to do something with pleasure). The musicians feel identified with this word because music is one of their passions, there is so much devotion in the preparation and rehearsal before the performances. The pleasure of communication and playing together can not be described with a better word than Meraki.
